Profile Settings

Customize your profile and manage your account information.

Accessing Settings

  1. Click your avatar/name in the top right
  2. Select Settings
  3. Or go to AccountProfile

Profile Information

Display Name

Your name as shown in tagd-ai:

  1. Go to ProfileDisplay Name
  2. Enter your preferred name
  3. Click Save

Used in:

  • Tag ownership attribution
  • Sharing notifications
  • Team/organization views

Profile Picture

Add a photo:

  1. Go to ProfileProfile Picture
  2. Click Upload Photo
  3. Select an image from your device
  4. Crop if needed
  5. Click Save

Requirements:

  • Square aspect ratio recommended
  • Minimum 200×200 pixels
  • JPEG, PNG, or GIF format
  • Maximum 5 MB

Bio (Optional)

Add a brief description:

  1. Go to ProfileBio
  2. Enter up to 160 characters
  3. Click Save

Visible when you share tags or collaborate.

Email Settings

Primary Email

Your main email address:

  • Used for sign in
  • Receives important notifications
  • Required for password recovery

To change:

  1. Go to ProfileEmail
  2. Click Change Email
  3. Enter new email
  4. Verify with password
  5. Confirm via link sent to new email

Email Preferences

Control what emails you receive:

  1. Go to ProfileEmail Preferences
  2. Toggle each category:
    • Product updates
    • Security alerts
    • Sharing notifications
    • Marketing communications

Verification Status

Check if email is verified:

  • ✅ Verified - Green checkmark
  • ⚠️ Unverified - Yellow warning

If unverified, click Resend Verification.

Account Security

Password

Change your password:

  1. Go to ProfileSecurity
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password
  5. Confirm new password
  6. Click Update Password

Two-Factor Authentication

Enable for extra security:

  1. Go to ProfileSecurity
  2. Click Enable 2FA
  3. Follow setup steps
  4. See Two-Factor Auth for details

Active Sessions

View where you're logged in:

  1. Go to ProfileSecurity
  2. Scroll to Active Sessions
  3. See devices and locations
  4. Click Sign Out on any suspicious session
  5. Or Sign Out All Devices

Connected Accounts

Third-Party Connections

If using social login or integrations:

  1. Go to ProfileConnected Accounts
  2. View connected services
  3. Connect new services
  4. Disconnect unused ones

API Access

View and manage API access:

  1. Go to ProfileAPI Keys
  2. See existing keys
  3. Create new keys
  4. Revoke unused keys

Data and Privacy

Download Your Data

Export your account data:

  1. Go to ProfilePrivacy
  2. Click Download My Data
  3. Choose what to include:
    • Profile information
    • Tags and content
    • Analytics data
    • Activity logs
  4. Click Generate Export
  5. Download link sent to email

Privacy Settings

Control your privacy:

  • Profile Visibility - Who can see your profile
  • Activity Status - Show when you're online
  • Read Receipts - Show when you've viewed shared tags

Data Retention

Configure how long data is kept:

  1. Go to ProfilePrivacy
  2. Set retention periods for:
    • Access logs
    • Analytics data
    • Deleted tags

Preferences

Theme

Choose display mode:

  1. Go to ProfilePreferences
  2. Select theme:
    • Light - Light background
    • Dark - Dark background
    • System - Match device setting

Language

Change interface language:

  1. Go to ProfilePreferences
  2. Select Language
  3. Choose from available languages
  4. Interface updates immediately

Time Zone

Set your time zone:

  1. Go to ProfilePreferences
  2. Select Time Zone
  3. Choose your zone
  4. Affects timestamps throughout tagd-ai

Default Tag Settings

Set defaults for new tags:

  1. Go to ProfilePreferences
  2. Configure:
    • Default permissions
    • Default folder
    • Auto-save interval

Troubleshooting

Can't Change Email

  • Verify current password is correct
  • Check new email isn't already registered
  • Ensure new email is valid format
  • Wait 24 hours if recently changed

Profile Picture Won't Upload

  • Check file size (< 5 MB)
  • Try different format (JPEG, PNG)
  • Clear browser cache
  • Try different browser

Settings Not Saving

  • Check internet connection
  • Refresh the page
  • Try incognito window
  • Contact support if persistent
