Bulk Printing

When you need to print many QR codes, tagd-ai offers tools for efficient bulk operations.

Bulk Download​

Download Multiple QR Codes​

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Select multiple tags (Ctrl/Cmd + click)
  3. Click Bulk Actions → Download QR Codes
  4. Choose format (PNG or SVG)
  5. Download as ZIP file

The ZIP contains individually named QR code files.

Download All Tags​

  1. Go to Settings → Export
  2. Click Export All QR Codes
  3. Choose format and size
  4. Download ZIP file

Generate Print Sheets​

Create ready-to-print PDF sheets:

  1. Select tags for printing
  2. Click Bulk Actions → Create Print Sheet
  3. Configure:
    • Paper size (Letter, A4, Custom)
    • QR code size
    • Labels (tag title, ID, etc.)
    • Grid layout (2×4, 3×6, etc.)
  4. Generate PDF
  5. Print the PDF

Bulk Tag Creation​

Create Multiple Tags at Once​

  1. Go to Settings → Bulk Operations
  2. Click Create Multiple Tags
  3. Enter quantity (up to 100)
  4. Set options:
    • Title pattern (e.g., "Asset-{number}")
    • Starting number
    • Default content
    • Folder destination
  5. Click Create

Naming Patterns​

Use placeholders in titles:

  • \{number\} - Sequential number (001, 002, 003)
  • \{date\} - Creation date
  • \{random\} - Random characters

Examples:

  • Asset-\{number\} → Asset-001, Asset-002
  • Item-\{date\}-\{number\} → Item-2024-01-15-001

CSV Import​

Create Tags from Spreadsheet​

  1. Prepare a CSV file:
title,content,folder
"Server Rack 1","Located in Data Center A","Equipment"
"Server Rack 2","Located in Data Center A","Equipment"
"Server Rack 3","Located in Data Center B","Equipment"
  1. Go to Settings → Import
  2. Upload your CSV
  3. Map columns to fields
  4. Click Import

CSV Format​

Required columns:

  • title - Tag title

Optional columns:

  • content - Text content
  • folder - Destination folder
  • permissions - Read permission level
  • url - Redirect URL

Label Printer Integration​

Supported Printers​

tagd-ai integrates with:

  • Zebra - ZD series, GK series
  • Brother - QL series
  • DYMO - LabelWriter series
  • Rollo - Shipping label printers

Setup Process​

  1. Install printer software
  2. Go to Settings → Printers
  3. Click Add Printer
  4. Select your printer model
  5. Configure label size
  6. Test print

Bulk Printing to Label Printer​

  1. Select tags to print
  2. Click Bulk Actions → Print Labels
  3. Select your label printer
  4. Confirm quantity
  5. Start printing

Create Templates​

Save your print settings:

  1. Configure print options
  2. Click Save as Template
  3. Name your template
  4. Reuse for future prints

Pre-built templates:

  • Address Labels - Standard mailing labels
  • Asset Tags - Durable equipment labels
  • Product Labels - Retail/inventory labels
  • Name Badges - Event badges with QR

Batch Processing​

Queue Management​

For large print jobs:

  1. Add tags to print queue
  2. View queue status
  3. Pause/resume printing
  4. Track completion

Monitor bulk operations:

  • Total in batch
  • Completed count
  • Estimated time remaining
  • Error reporting

Best Practices​

Before Bulk Printing​

  1. Test first - Print one test page
  2. Verify content - Spot check several tags
  3. Check materials - Ensure you have enough
  4. Calibrate printer - Adjust for your labels

Organization​

  1. Use folders - Organize before creating
  2. Naming conventions - Consistent, searchable names
  3. Track inventory - Know what's printed

Quality Control​

  1. Spot check - Scan random codes after printing

Troubleshooting​

  1. Check printer connection
  2. Clear print queue
  3. Restart printer

Labels Misaligned​

  1. Recalibrate printer
  2. Check label size settings
  3. Adjust margins
  4. Use correct label type

Some Tags Missing​

  1. Check for duplicates
  2. Verify all selected
  3. Check export filters
  4. Try exporting again

File Too Large​

  1. Export in smaller batches
  2. Use PNG instead of SVG
  3. Reduce image size
  4. Export without previews
